ABOUT US

In Silico Design is a platform aimed at creating Turkish and English language resources and providing training in various fields such as molecular modeling, cheminformatics, computational chemistry, and bioinformatics. Our goal is to offer high-quality and up-to-date content that supports students, researchers, and academics interested in these disciplines.

As science and technology rapidly advance, understanding current developments and techniques in these fields has become a significant need for students and researchers at all levels. However, the limited number of Turkish-language resources in these areas makes it difficult for beginners to access fundamental knowledge. As In Silico Design, we embarked on this journey to fill this gap and provide content that benefits users at all levels.

Our platform plans to offer clear and comprehensive content prepared by undergraduate and graduate students. Covering topics from fundamental theoretical knowledge to advanced levels, we aim to facilitate access to scientific information and contribute to our readers’ studies. In Silico Design seeks to be a reference point for anyone looking for Turkish-language resources on molecular modeling.

WHO ARE WE?

Emre Can Buluz, Molecular modeling and chemoinformatics expert

I am Emre Can Buluz, I completed my undergraduate education at Balikesir University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2021. While I was an undergraduate student, I had the opportunity to do an internship at Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Biology and Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center. I carried out my studies on the molecular biology of cancer in my undergraduate thesis. Later, I started my master's degree at Ege University, Department of Biotechnology. During my master's degree, I worked in the fields of computational drug design and molecular modeling. I completed my internship at University of Milan, Department of Chemistry within the scope of Erasmus+ mobility. I received my master's degree from the Department of Biotechnology in 2024. I'm currently pursuing my doctorate in the Department of Physics at Ege University. My research focuses on quantum mechanical calculations (Hartree Fock and DFT), drug design, and artificial intelligence.

Ege Altun is a researcher who provides scientific resources in Turkish.

I am Ege Altun, a graduate of Ege University, Department of Bioengineering. In my undergraduate thesis, I worked on developing a workflow for the creation of rotamer libraries of amino acids using molecular dynamics simulations. During my undergraduate education, I had the opportunity to do an internship at HOPE Biotechnology. I am currently continuing my master's degree at ÇınaroğluLab. I am developing myself in subjects such as structural biology, machine learning and molecular modeling.
